When Darkness Falls

This brisk, abrasive thrash-metal album pairs forceful down-picked riffs, sharp solos, and energetic gang vocals with gritty roars and soaring declarations. Its accessible, playful momentum is consistently entertaining, though familiar songwriting, clichéd horror themes, overused group vocals, and a momentum-losing closer limit its risk and lasting impact.
