Critic reviews
- Pitchfork: 7.3/10(opens in new tab)by Colin JoyceSep 21, 2026
The album remains rooted in doomy, downcast heavy music while introducing greater momentum and occasional playfulness.
- Beats Per Minute: 86/100(opens in new tab)by Todd DedmanSep 24, 2026
The triumph of the record is how deeply felt each track is, and how heartbreak – romantic or existential – can make you feel alive.
- PopMatters: 9/10(opens in new tab)by John AmenSep 17, 2026
The album unites gothic folk, metal, ambient expansiveness, and synthesizer-based experimentation.
