Fuses jangling guitars, fuzz, distortion, and buoyant hooks into propulsive indie rock. Channels romantic longing through bright harmonies, though ’90s revivalism can blur individuality.

Critic reviews
- NME: 4/5(opens in new tab)by Huw BainesSep 29, 2026
The album blends power-pop hooks with richly textured indie rock.
- Paste: B+(opens in new tab)by Hayden MerrickSep 30, 2026
a kind of sonic overture for Nature’s Pill—tentpoles of a sound that can be cartoonish and earnest
- Clash: 6/10(opens in new tab)by Sam WalkerOct 5, 2026
Still, this is a confident, good-time record, and there’s enough promise and magic on show to suggest Wishy could really smash it next time out.
- SPIN: enthusiastic(opens in new tab)by Michael TedderOct 6, 2026
For follow-up Nature’s Pill (Winspear), it misremembers the 120 Minutes canon all at once, nodding to the snotty harmonies of Superchunk
- Pitchfork: 7.6/10(opens in new tab)by Colin JoyceOct 14, 2026
The intensity of their yearning has only increased on their second album, Nature’s Pill—and that’s no easy feat
