Fell Asleep in the Sun is a polished 2000s-inspired blend of slow breakbeats, bright synths, alt-rock guitars, piano, and synthetic nostalgia, with standout vocal interplay and occasional atmospheric depth. Its melancholic concepts are often weakened by vague lyrics, repetitive structures, thin arrangements, and production that favors retro surface over fully developed emotion.

  • Pitchfork: 5.8/10by Billie Bugara

The album reproduces a wide range of 2000s breakbeat-pop, mall-rock, and adult-contemporary textures with highly precise production.
