The album is built around thundering, throbbing production that sometimes overwhelms Cyrus's voice.

The album makes little lasting impression and is described as uninspired.

Bass Persuades is an enjoyable ride that begins to reintroduce some of the edge we love about Miley
- NME: 3/5(opens in new tab)by Cordelia LamSep 22, 2026
The concise nine-song program and remix favor directness and momentum.
